This is a review of the best Wi-Fi coffee makers that support Google Home and Alexa assistants.
I often find myself lazy and not wanting to make my coffee manually. That’s when I turn to technology. However, I need a coffee maker that’ll do everything for me, which led me to make this list.
I chose the Hamilton Beach Works as the best overall machine because it’s affordable, compact, and has no strict Wi-Fi network requirements. You’ll see what I mean in a bit.

5 Best Coffee Makers With Google Assistant
Most smart coffee makers don’t use the highest-quality materials or make the best-tasting coffee. That’s because manufacturers want to make them affordable and appeal to a broad user base.
But they’re excellent home additions if you want to automate some aspects of coffee making by integrating them into your current smart home system. Most of these coffee makers support Google Home. Some also work with Alexa and Apple HomeKit.
None of these coffee makers include milk frothers, which an espresso machine usually includes.
How do you know whether you’re buying a good coffee maker? I’ll cover all the points to consider later.
1. Hamilton Beach Works with Alexa Smart: Best Overall
Price * | $ |
Machine Type | Drip coffee maker |
Dimensions | 12.91 × 7.95 × 13.9 in (D, W, H) |
Water Reservoir Size | 12 cups |
Material | Plastic, glass, & stainless steel |
Warranty | 1 year |
Pros
- Offers easy voice controls with Alexa.
- Features a front fill design for easy refilling.
- Comes with a drip-free pour glass carafe
Cons
- Some users found it not value for money.
- Requires a stable Wi-Fi connection for smart features.
- Some users reported difficulty in setup.
The Hamilton Beach Works is the ultimate smart coffee maker because of its easy voice controls with Alexa and a front-fill design for effortless refilling.
It’s a drip coffee maker, which means you pour coffee grounds into a single-use paper filter, then water runs over the beans. From there, the resulting black coffee will drip into a glass carafe.
The biggest feature I enjoy is the cleaning reminder and the routine setup. However, you can only set up a routine through the Alexa app. It doesn’t work with Apple HomeKit or Google Home.
And if you want to voice control the Works, you’ll need an Echo. Once you get an Echo, you’ll need at least 25 Mbps of download speed bandwidth available for your device to function [1]. Since it requires a stable Wi-Fi connection.
Many users found it difficult to sync the machine with their app and set things up. Then from there, they didn’t believe the price they paid justified the quality of product received. Considering the price point, this is affordable for what you get.
Moreover, it’s amazing for small countertops due to its front fill design. Instead of having to reach behind the machine, you’ll only need to open it in the front to refill it. That design choice makes up for its lack of a removable water reservoir.
Here’s an entry-level maker.
2. Keurig K-Supreme: Best Google Assistant Coffee Maker for Beginners
Price * | $$ |
Machine Type | Capsule coffee maker |
Dimensions | 112 × 7.9 × 16.9 in (D, W, H) |
Water Reservoir Size | 66 fl oz = 16 6-oz cups |
Material | Plastic & stainless steel |
Warranty | 1 year |
Pros
- Offers customizable brew settings.
- Incorporates smart technologies for convenience.
- Compact design made of premium materials.
Cons
- Travel mugs over 7 inches do not fit.
- Does not have a milk system.
- Single-serve only, no carafe option.
The Keurig K-Supreme is ideal for beginners seeking a smart coffee maker due to its intuitive controls and customizable options.
Capsule coffee makers require you to insert a capsule, then the machine will brew whatever’s in the capsule. Being a Keurig, it’ll only accept Keurig-compatible pods. But with a twist, which I’ll cover in a couple paragraphs.
Its compact design, premium materials, and large removable water reservoir add to its appeal. The convenience it provides can save you a significant amount of money and time if you’re used to buying coffee from shops daily.
Imagine just plopping a pod into a machine then magically getting coffee without having to wait in a coffee shop line.
Unlike most Keurigs, you can adjust the following:
- 4 cup sizes: 6-, 8-, 10-, & 12- fl oz
- No carafe system for multi-serve, though.
- 6 temperature choices: Adjust according to your preference.
- 5 strengths: Do you want a stronger or weaker taste?
That was the “twist.”
But there’s no milk system. Many coffee makers within this price range have some sort of automatic milk system, which could allow you to make coffee with milk.
Unlike the previous option, Keurig’s small kitchen-friendly machine supports Google Home and Alexa. However, you can’t use it with 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks (faster Wi-Fi frequencies). If you use 5 GHz, you must create a separate 2.4 GHz network through your router’s settings.
Refer to your router’s manual to learn how to do this. Even tech-illiterate folks could do this in at maximum, 20 minutes.
Nespresso owners will appreciate this next pick more.
3. Nespresso Vertuo Next with Smart Plug: Best Nespresso Google Home Coffee Maker
Price * | $$ |
Machine Type | Capsule coffee maker |
Dimensions | 16.8 × 5.5 × 12.4 in (D, W, H) |
Water Reservoir Size | 37 fl oz = 7.4 5-fl oz cups |
Material | Aluminum |
Warranty | 2 years |
Pros
- Delivers consistently smooth espressos & americanos.
- Virtually mess-free operation.
- Heats up quickly for fast coffee preparation.
Cons
- Pods are relatively expensive.
- Requires a separate milk frother for lattes & cappuccinos.
- Recycling the pods could be easier.
The Nespresso Vertuo, paired with a smart plug, is the ideal solution for coffee lovers seeking a smart, automated brewing experience. Its one-touch brewing, diverse cup size options, and consistent delivery of smooth, barista-style coffee make it a standout choice.
Like Keurigs, Nespressos require you to plop in a pod and the appliance will brew per the capsule’s specifications. The Nespresso differs because it’ll only accept Vertuo line pods.
The cost of official Vertuo pods and a separate milk frother, if desired, should be factored into the overall investment. Despite these additional costs, the convenience and quality of coffee produced by the Nespresso Vertuo make it a worthy purchase.
Nespresso’s Vertuo pods cost at least $1.15 each [2]. While that’s much cheaper than a cup of coffee from Starbucks, it’s still more expensive than buying coffee beans or instant coffee. But you won’t need to buy, clean, and maintain grinders.
I’ve wasted a lot of time cleaning grounds out of coffee grounds. Nespressos do make coffee brewing much less time consuming. Especially since the machine takes 25 seconds to reheat.
However:
No Nespresso makers support any smart home companions. That’s why I recommend getting a smart plug. They won’t allow you to customize the machine through apps, but they’ll allow you to program when you want your appliance to power on.
Still giving you a way to have a coffee maker power on and heat up before you head to work.
Not good enough? Here’s another way to fully automate coffee making.
4. Atomi smart coffee maker: Best Wi-Fi coffee Maker With Grinder
Price * | $$$ |
Machine Type | Drip coffee maker |
Dimensions | 12.5 × 8.75 × 17 in (D, W, H) |
Water Reservoir Size | 12 cups |
Material | Plastic |
Warranty | 1 year |
Pros
- Integrates well with Alexa & Google Assistant.
- Offers reliable brew performance.
- Features an adjustable grinder.
Cons
- Grinder is extremely noisy.
- Requires manual cleaning.
- Filling the water reservoir can be awkward.
The Atomi Smart Coffee Maker is the ultimate choice for tech-savvy coffee lovers, offering seamless integration with Alexa and Google Assistant for voice control.
The Atomi is a drip coffee maker that’ll make black coffee using coffee grounds, a paper filter, and water.
It provides reliable performance and convenience, allowing you to schedule brews and control the strength of your coffee through its app. Its ability to brew whole and ground beans adds to its versatility, making it a valuable addition to any smart home.
The Atomi includes 8 grind consistencies, giving you more control over your coffee’s strength. Finer grinds result in stronger coffee. Coarser results in a lighter taste.
If you program this maker to grind and brew before work, ensure you schedule it to power on after you wake up. For instance, while you’re showering or getting dressed. I suggest this because the grinder is loud and will likely wake you.
Once you’re home from work and want to prepare the maker for the next day, cleaning’ll be a bit of a pain. Due to the lack of removable components and “compact” design, it’s much more difficult to clean.
As is the water tank. It’s behind the grinder, which makes it a pain to refill if you plop this baby beneath a cupboard. Good luck, though. I said “compact” design, yet this machine demands a lot of counter real estate—height-wise.
What can you do with Alexa and Google? Tell your assistants when to grind, brew strength, and power on/off. Or tell it to set a schedule.
Here’s our last pick.
5. Café Specialty: Best Google Home Coffee Maker UK
Price * | $$$ |
Machine Type | Drip coffee maker |
Dimensions | 31.7 × 18.5 × 31.7 cm (D, W, H) |
Water Reservoir Size | 10 cups |
Material | Glass, plastic, & stainless steel |
Warranty | 1 year |
Pros
- Brews coffee quickly.
- Integrates well with Wi-Fi & Alexa.
- Produces barista-quality coffee.
Cons
- Coffee can overflow if not careful.
- Carafe design causes splashing during cleaning.
The Café Specialty Drip Coffee Maker is the best smart coffee maker for United Kingdom, Australia, the Philippines, and Canada residents due to its universal voltage compatibility and Wi-Fi connectivity.
Its fast brewing time, sleek design, and ability to produce superior-tasting coffee make it a worthwhile investment. The added convenience of smart home integration further justifies the cost.
Unlike most machines on this list, it’s not an eyesore. It has a contemporary look that doesn’t fit in small kitchens due to its massive width.
It’s approved by the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA). The coffee maker meets many technical requirements that would lead to the machine brewing “Golden Cups.” These are considered high-quality coffee due to proper water temperature and brew time [3].
In addition to its good looks and accreditation, it’ll work with Google Home, Alexa, and the SmartHQ apps. Giving you more choices among apps. And you can use these apps to set brew strength, temperature, and size.
Or toggle the “Gold” setting, which’ll set up ideal settings in all those areas.
Ensure you pay attention to the amount of coffee you brew. If you’re not careful, it could overflow. And the carafe has no design choices that prevent splashing, which could make it a bit messy to clean.

How to Choose the Best Google Home & Alexa Coffee Maker
Use the following checklist to help you find the best Wi-Fi-supported coffee maker:
Criteria | Importance |
Ease of Use | Crucial for a seamless experience & quick morning routines. |
Water Tank & Machine Size | Determines capacity & fits within your kitchen space. |
Programmable Schedule | Enables automatic brewing timed to your schedule. |
Extra Features | Enhancements (e.g., voice control) enriches the coffee-making experience. |
Machine Materials | Affects longevity, taste, & aesthetic appeal of the machine. |
The following sections will cover more information on why each point is important and details to remember when considering each factor.
1. Ease of Use
Ease of use in smart coffee makers streamlines your brewing process, saving you time and effort. Imagine commanding your coffee maker to brew a cup with your preferred settings while still in bed.
That’s the convenience Google Assistant-compatible coffee makers offer. They eliminate the need to fumble with complex settings when you’re too tired to function.
Most Wi-Fi coffee makers will include voice control and app-assisted brewing. But you should keep this factor in mind when shopping.
These smart devices also can guide you through the brewing process, making it less daunting for beginners. They suggest brewing times and temperatures. Taking the guesswork out of making the perfect cup.
2. Water Tank Capacity & Machine Size
Dimensions matter because kitchen space is often at a premium. A bulky coffee maker can monopolize counter space, making preparing meals or using other appliances hard. Measure your available space and compare it with the dimensions of the coffee maker you’re considering.
Water reservoir capacity is equally important.
If you frequently host gatherings or have a large family, a coffee maker with a small reservoir will require constant refilling, which can be inconvenient. A large reservoir might be unnecessary if you live alone or with one other person.
Many smart coffee makers that support Google Home have modern, compact kitchens in mind. Manufacturers understand the need for space-saving appliances and have responded by creating models that pack advanced features into compact designs.
3. Programmable Schedule
A programmable schedule feature in a smart coffee maker lets you set specific times for your coffee to brew automatically.
Imagine waking up to the aroma of freshly brewed coffee or coming home to a hot pot ready to serve. It saves time and ensures you never forget to prepare your coffee.
However, this comes with pros and cons.
The advantages include:
- Time-saving
- Consistency in coffee preparation
- Ability to have coffee ready at your preferred times
The downside is that if you like varying your coffee type or strength daily, a programmable schedule might not offer this flexibility.
Smart coffee makers supporting Google Assistant, like the Atomi Smart Coffee Maker, have programmable schedules. You control it using voice commands or through an app.
4. Extra Features
Considering extra features is crucial when shopping for smart coffee makers compatible with Google Home, Alexa, and Apple HomeKit. These features enhance the user experience, offering convenience, customization, and control.
Here are 5 example features to consider:
- Voice control: Command your coffee maker to start brewing using your voice.
- Saves you time & allows for hands-free operation.
- Programmable schedule: Enables the machine to brew coffee at a set schedule, ensuring a fresh cup of coffee is ready when you want it.
- Remote control: You can control your coffee maker from anywhere using your smartphone.
- Provides flexibility & convenience.
- Customizable brewing options: Adjust the strength & size of your coffee, catering to your personal preferences.
- Maintenance reminders: Your coffee maker alerts you when it’s time for cleaning or descaling.
- Helps maintain the machine’s performance & longevity.
5. Machine Design & Materials
High-quality materials ensure durability, longevity, and optimal performance. Plastic components may degrade over time, affecting the machine’s lifespan and the taste of your coffee. Chemicals from BPA-free plastics may leak into your coffee and add a chemical-like taste.
On the other hand, stainless steel resists wear and tear, maintaining the machine’s functionality for longer. However, metal components may add a metallic taste to your drink.
Machines with glass components require careful handling to prevent breakage. Those with metal parts might need regular descaling to prevent mineral buildup. Consider the machine’s materials to ensure you invest in a durable, easy-to-maintain coffee maker.
Many coffee makers that support Google Assistant will use plastic to allow manufacturers to price machines competitively
